Grisha Deina

Grisha is from and living in Poltava, Ukraine with his wife Olena. He holds an unwavering conviction in the calling of Jesus to “Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19-20). This is the foundation of Grisha’s life and ministry. “I am continually amazed as I witness how He Himself begins to work in people’s lives, touching their hearts and transforming them into His likeness.”

Grisha’s particular interest is in knowing the scriptures and sharing God’s truth through conversations and the ministry of His Word. He is also a talented worship leader. Grisha has a clear ability to discern needs, to recognize God’s will in specific situations, and to understand the path toward fulfilling it—even in the face of difficulties.

Atom is from and living Poltava, Ukraine with his wife Diana. He has a deep desire to know the wisdom and character of Jesus, and to live as He lived. His passion for this work comes from being deeply inspired by the amazing journey that Jesus is calling him into. “To be a missionary means to follow Christ. Therefore, I gladly accept His invitation and delight in the way He is transforming me and the people around me.”

Atom is inspired by the passage, “For I hold you by your right hand— I the Lord your God. And I say to you. ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’” Atom’s particular interests include providing help, counseling and preaching to those struggling with drug addiction.

Olena Deina

Olena lives in Poltava, Ukraine with her husband Grisha. Olena desires to be and instrument of peace and to serve people with the love of Jesus. “For me, serving is a daily walk of trust in the Lord, where even small steps can become great support for someone’s soul.”

A skilled artist herself, Olena has a deep passion to serve women experiencing crisis in Eastern Ukraine through art therapy. This group allows women the opportunity to express themselves creatively, through painting, pottery and more, regardless of skill or experience. “My dream is to create a space people want to return to again and again — a place of restoration, inspiration, and genuine fellowship, where the heart finds peace and the soul finds light.

Dayana Mavrin

Dayana lives in Poltava, Ukraine with her husband Atom. 

Dayana works with a pregnancy crisis center and has a unique ability to connect deeply with women in crisis. She has a deep passion for providing medical access to individuals in Eastern Ukraine. On mission trips, you will find Dayana handing out medicine and engaging in relationships with other women! She has a deep love for Jesus and those in the East.
